Our programme

Academic

British Summer School courses are semi-intensive with 20 hours of study per week. The academically challenging syllabus is based on the 21st century learning curriculum and is tailored to each age group. All English lessons are designed to improve students’ English abilities in each of the 4 skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing).

Leisure

All courses include a varied leisure and recreational programme that includes many sports such as athletics, badminton, basketball, football, Kwik Cricket, rounders, squash, table tennis, tennis and volleyball as well as other recreational activities such as art, countryside trek, dance choreography, drama workshop, karaoke, kite flying, landscape painting, Lego competition, model making, roller blading lesson, origami, quiz, skateboarding lesson, swimming and yoga. We know that learning happens most effectively when interactions are natural and authentic and when students are actively involved, doing the things they enjoy and having fun. At British Summer School, the time our students spend on their sporting and leisure activities is just as valuable as the time spent on the more academic aspects of our courses.

Cultural

Excursions adds a further cultural and recreational dimension to all British Summer School courses. They are an important part of the programme and enable students to enjoy their new friendships in a more informal, genuine and relaxed setting. Excursions enable students to visit places of cultural and historical interest and provide an opportunity for recreational activities and shopping.

Pro Options are delivered by qualified coaches and instructors and are designed to increase students’ confidence, knowledge, skills and technique.

BSS Experience featuring True Me

Our bespoke BSS Experience featuring True Me programme, featured in every course, is a series of fun, interactive and sociable events and challenges designed to develop students’ personal and social skills, authenticity and self-confidence.

This allows them to build more natural, sincere and positive relationships with their friends, family members and work colleagues, helping them to become more successful in the 21st century.

Our courses help every student become “the best version of me that I choose to be” and enables them to be happy and successful on their life journey.
